Grandma Mimi had been a part of OutDaughtered for a few seasons. Michelle Theriot appeared in the show as a recurring castmate, helping parents Adam and Danielle raise their beautiful babies. However, an incident turned her life upside down. Apparently, Michelle had a charge against her for DUI. It happened when she was driving her black SUV from Ford. Therefore, she also stopped appearing on OutDaughtered, and speculations suggest that it happened because TLC thought it was bad for the show’s reputation.
Since then, Grandma Mimi also went off Instagram. But in July 2022, Mimi made a return on Instagram. She started getting used to normalcy and showcased her everyday life. When no new season came out in 2022, the viewers got curious and worried whether the TV network had canceled the show. That’s when the couple announced that they had been meaning to take a break from filming, and they did so this year.
Adam had also said that he wanted his little girls to experience a world without cameras. The viewers must know that the show has captured the family’s life since Danielle gave birth to the quintuplets at the hospital. The reality TV couple also wanted their kids to engage in more outdoor activities since the COVID-19 pandemic was out of the picture.
